Konfurb, in conjunction with DAL, New Age Veneers and Zambesi, enjoyed an extremely busy and successful Saturday in Design in Melbourne. We had streams of people through the showroom collaborating and enjoying themselves on our great new ranges of modular furniture.
The contemporary, yet practical designs of modular pieces were well received and multiple applications were identified by a wide range of A&D professionals who visited us over the two days.
Thanks to all of you who managed to pay us a visit – we look forward to further kollaboration with you all!






Konfurb proudly launched their Collaborative Seating Range to the New Zealand market at the Fuze Collaborative Seating Circus, hosted in the Fuze showroom in Parnell on Thursday 26 July.

Konfurb have recently launched our exciting new modular seating for collaborative spaces. Through the Arc Agency events in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane we have had an excellent response to the new range. We have received strong interest from attendees at the Arc events. In particular we have fielded enquiries from many architects and specifiers operating in the education and commercial office markets.
The Arc events have been a great forum to showcase these products and meet new faces – we will continue to feature at these events with more exciting new product.

Konfurb is excited to announce that we now have representation for our west coast clients in Perth, Western Australia. Chris Burke has joined our team as our authorised agent for Western Australia.
Chris operates and runs design collective, a design agency representing a collective service focusing on the supply of contract furniture for the architectural and interior design markets in Perth, W/A.
Chris has always appreciated and had a very keen interest in all facets of design since early childhood, particularly architecture & interior design. He has worked in the contract furniture industry for a number of years following many years in the clothing industry through running his own fashion agency.
Chris thoroughly enjoys representing the diverse & unique Konfurb range through his new company and looks forward to supplying seating options to the West Australian A & D contract market.
In October 2011 we showcased our product at the Arc Agency events in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
Our Searl and Fusion were received extremely well with good leads into current project work at all 3 events.
The attendees loved the simplicity and comfort of the Searl, along with the affordability of a fun designer product.
The Fusion was noted for its innovation, affordability, comfort and ease of use, definitely had immediate uptake on current projects being specified.
The Melbourne event was held at MIFA on Collins street in the city centre. Fantastic buzzing venue with a great turnout, food was to die for!



The Brisbane event was held at the Strand on Riverside in Brisbane. The venue was a big success with a good turnout of people flowing through. With amazing views of the Brisbane river, the venue created quite a nice atmosphere for the evening.
In Sydney on the 27th of October the event was held in the stunning Opera House. The venue had over 450 A&D clients attend. The night was all go and the catering was great!

Did we see you at Saturday in Design in Sydney?
The sun was shining, the crowds were smiling, and we were there!





The Zephyr chairs are proving popular as board and meeting room chairs.
Here they are in a recent fit-out at Porter Davis Uni Park.





In October, in conjunction with Koplus, we launched the new range of seating and desking which will soon be available in Australia and NZ under the Konfurb brand. We also took the opportunity to showcase the Bodyflex range of seating, once again, the feedback was outstanding with significant interest in all the products featured on the stand.
The range displayed at ORGATEC included:
• Bodyflex task and visitor seating (Available now)
• Flip Training Table (Available now)
• Switch Training chair, (Available now) and
• Symbian mesh back Executive chair (Available Feb 2011)
The Symbian mesh back Executive chair was received exceptionally well with complimentary feedback from both designers and specifiers. The Symbian is currently still in prototype stage, however, production will commence in early 2011 with stock available from February. The Flip training table and Switch training chair generated significant interest from many of the visitors from Australia and NZ (and the rest of the world!). Both these products are available now, please contact your Konfurb agent for further details.
Saturday in Design 2010 in Melbourne was a first for Konfurb as we lanched our new range of Bodyflex chairs and training table. With over 1900 visitors through our collaborative site in the Chapter House on Flinders Lane we were extremely busy demonstrating the unique design and operating features of the chair.
The response to the new range excellent, with significant interest in the superb comfort and support of the Active Back Technology ABT TM which is a standard feature in the task, visitor and training chairs. Furthermore, GreenGuard certification was seen as a major international environmental accreditation with relevance in Australia and NZ. The specification pages provide more detail about the features and their benefits for users and the environment.
The unique “look and feel” of chairs was also a common talking point amongst visitors to the Konfurb stand. For this very reason the Bodyflex task chair received the Red Dot Design award in 2010.
